Our Founder

Francis Xavier Kroot,  the youngest of the eight children, five boys and three girls, was born on 7th December 1854, to Henry Kroot and Joanne Schrauwers. He founded the Congregation of Missionary Sisters of St.Francis Xavier who are now called as Sisters of Our Lady of Fatima.

St Josephs School T.B Dam is one of the best renowned schools in Hospet. The sisters of Sahayamata convent is a flourishing branch of   Sisters of our Lady of Fatima, Bangalore Province, Whose Generalate  is in Pune.

Our Manager Sr Emy Adapur is a well experienced,  efficient administrator  and educationist. She is able to combine a large vision with a creative fidelity to God and remarkable intellect that can deal with the staff, students and parents with humanity and warmth. In spite of all odds  her  innovative attitude is beautiful, encouraging and challenging.

Our headmistress  Sr Shamala Pasanna  is remarkable in her leadership. Her deeply held convictions more specially with the staff and the less privileged children, She can draw the best out of them to take up leadership with greater responsibilities and inner freedom.  Her calm, composed and cheerful spirit with profound knowledge gives fresh boost to students of all ages. She is quick to read the signs of the times and respond to the fast growing digital world. Her simplicity and team spirit is admirable.
